The Member Companies and organisations which sign up to the Step Change Charter are expected to actively support the Step Change programme and implement change where appropriate for their business. They are also expected to support and take part in the network meetings and have an internal implementation strategy for the Step Change programme areas.

Member Company MDs are expected to demonstrate commitment to the charter:

• Support & promote the Step Change strategies & principles;
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership & support our site managers and workforce by effective engagement;
• Promote effective collaboration through the sharing of best practice and learning across all industry sectors;
• Work towards consistency and continuous improvement in industry standards;
• Ensure effective workforce involvement and best use of Safety Representatives and Committees.
