Welcome to our new Sharing section. This is where we "promote effective collaboration through the sharing of best practice and learning across all industry sectors", one of the Step Change Charter commitments. A big attraction of this new website is that an interested individual can access full details of a best practice example or a lesson learnt from anywhere in Industry almost immediately. This means that the new idea can be very quickly translated into an improved work practice.

There are sections related to each of our 4 key strategies:

• Managing risk;
• Personal ownership for safety;
• Asset Integrity; and
• Leadership, Communication and Cooperation.

There are also specialist sharing pages for the Step Change Network groups:

• Elected Safety Representatives;
• Focal Points;
• Site Leaders (OIMs and line supervisors); and
• Safety Professionals.

plus the Work groups focusing on the current industry safety agenda issues:

• Asset integrity;
• Competence;
• Workforce engagement;
• Human factors; and
• Workplace health.

If you would like to submit details of a best practice for sharing for inclusion in this area click here (link opens a new window).

Here´s how it will work:

1. A Company or individual identifies a best practice worthy of sharing.

2. The Company or Individual provides a brief summary/overview of the article to Step Change.

3. If there is more detail available (eg procedure or presentation) it can attached as a "resource" via the website.

4. The Website alerts all registered users by email that there has been a new posting.

5. Interested parties can access website and download full details of best practice.
